My institution is an institutional member - Does this mean I am a member too?
No, your institution's membership does not automatically make you a member. Institutional Memberships do however grant a highly subsidized discount on individual memberships for full-time staff on your campus from $250 to $80 instead.
I am a full-time staff member on my campus but a part-time student. Am I eligible for a student membership?
No. Per NASPA Bylaws to be eligible for a student membership (graduate or undergraduate) you must be a current student and not employed full-time at a higher education institution. If you are a part-time employee then you would be eligible for a student membership.
If I purchase a membership and leave my current institution do I lose my membership?
No! Memberships are assigned to the person that it was purchased for and remain with that individual. Please note though if you change institutions or leave you role and wish to renew your membership, your dues may change if your institution is not currently a member.
Can I transfer my membership to somebody else?
No. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable after purchase. The membership would remain with the member.
Are memberships taxed?
No. All memberships are tax-free.
I purchased the wrong membership by accident. Can I fix that?
Please e-mail us at membership@naspa.org or call us at (202) 265-7500 and we will be happy to assist you.
Does my membership automatically renew?
No, NASPA memberships do not automatically renew. While NASPA will automatically create a renewal cart for you, the membership must be purchased manually. If a membership is not renewed, then it will expire after the membership end date.
I tried to set up a membership, but it said I need to call NASPA to provide more information. Does this mean I am ineligible for a membership?
No! It just means we need more information to determine the best membership to suit your needs. Reach out to us by e-mailing membership@naspa.org or call (202) 265-7500 and we will be happy to determine which membership best suits your need.
Is it possible to purchase multiple individual memberships at once?
Yes. To request a bulk membership order, please e-mail us at membership@naspa.org and provide us a list of who needs a membership. Please note that all individuals needing memberships must have a NASPA.org account.
